Yes, I know I should remove them but it's too much hassle. My question is :

What type of paint roller do I need to paint these tyles. They have a bevelled edge. I'm using matt emulsion.

Cheers.

You'll probably have to use a brush on the bevelled edges, then almost any roller on the flat surfaces. The brush will probably leave a visible more dense coating than the roller, so a second rollered coat may be needed for a more even finish.
Watered down first coat with brush.
Standard second coat with brush or roller. If previously a dark colour, second coat with brush too.
I've never seen them painted before. Are they on the ceiling? I removed some yesterday from a ceiling and walls....came off really easily with a scraper.

Like heathfield says, use both.

Serious fire risk.

Get rid of them.
Please think again about removing them, it'll be a good job done and never as bad as the thought of it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove them as an ex Firefighter i have seen the consequences of these tiles when involved in a fire especially when in a kitchen THEY ARE DANGEROUS
Getting rid of them is much less hassle than painting them.

Please do get shot of them.
Such tiles have been fire resistant for some years now, although I'm unsure I'd want to risk them possibly dripping on me in a fire. In which room are they ?
