Watering needed indicator

Some years ago I was given some small spikes which were stuck into the compost which filled the pots for my indoor plants.

They measured the amount of moisture in the pot and changed colour when the plant needed watering.

Tried everywhere, on line, and in local garden centres, but no luck at all.
Does anyone know of a source for these or similar items?
