Does a bark mulch attract cats who want to use it as the local toilet?

well not in my garden, but I have a dog. haven't found cockroaches either, but you do get harmless insects who brek down the mulch and improve soil fertility have had chippings on my garden renewed annually for the past seven years, soil started off as heavy clay, is now georgeous
