Tulip Bulbs

My daughter's friend brought her a bag of tulip bulbs from her trip to Amsterdam.
They look as though some are trying to sprout.
Should we keep them in the bag in a dark cool place, plant them now or something else?

I'm no gardener but Google seems to suggest that they should be planted now unless there's still a risk of frost where you live. (In which case, they should be kept somewhere cool until it's possible to plant them).

Google also appears to suggest that your daughter's friend probably imported the bulbs illegally! (Since the UK left the EU, the rules on importing plants have changed a great deal: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/import-plants-and-plant-products-from-the-eu-to-great-britain-and-northern-ireland )

I've always wondered how new bulbs are created for the likes of tulips and daffodils - you can buy big bags of them. If you plant a seed does it change into a bulb eventually?

The bulbs multiply Brainiac. Picture a garlic bulb, that’s what happens to other bulbs too.

My tulips from previous years have either already flowered, or are about to. I reckon you need to get them in ASAP.
