Why has my wisteria decided to have a second flush of flowers, healthy plant ,15 yrs old ,pruned as per RHS guidelines, weird but much appreciated.
Anyone else have the same phenomenon?

Dead-heading plants can make them try a second time to make seeds. Maybe that's what happened to your wisteria.
Apparently, its not too unusual to get a second bloom if the weather stays favorable.
Mine flowered as usual in early May, the leaves then appeared over the next couple of weeks as they always do. The next thing I know it’s flowering again and it’s been covered in flowers all summer. It’s not been pruned or treated in way differently than in every other year so it must be the weather.
mine seems to flower twice every year
if you deadhead and prune and weather conditions allow it will do...same with my Rhodos..have bloomed a second time this year !
