i'd like to grow some jerusalem artichokes this year but have not so far been successful on finding any of the tubers for sale. does anyone know where i can get some from.

They are lovely LIK. Very nice mashed with potato.

tigger - they are good in soups and casseroles and also baked round a joint and also baked with whole onions and garlic cloves with a tad of butter and seasoning. oh yummy and i haven't got any yet.
Ta tigger, but having just seen this on Wikipedia, I think I might leave them for now! :-))

"which way soever they be dressed and eaten, they stir and cause a filthy loathsome stinking wind within the body, thereby causing the belly to be pained and tormented, and are a meat more fit for swine than men."
And that L-I-K is why they are known as fartichokes!
Oh dear! Never mind, I still like them. Haven't had them for a while but might see if they're available next time I'm out shopping.
