The comments underneath assume that the Policeman is weak and that he should be able to overpower the little people.

The guy could be ill so any action other than phoning for emergency help is unacceptable.

He is clearly incapacitated somehow, any decent person would be assisting the officer and calling for medical help, clearly this area is populated by sub human low life scum.

That is not the problem.The problem lies squarely on the courts and their lenient sentences.I know that this will be bring cries from the liberals, but it is time the birch was brought back for this type of offence.

More's the pity, but the courts have to start meting out punishments thjat are a deterrent.The magistrates in my day used to announce that anybody brought before them for assaulting a policemen would get 6 months imprisonment.

Danny, I realise you were speaking generally however we don't even know if the incident in the OP ever made it to court - we have very little information and that's frustrating.
