Can I use a bottle gully for shower or washing machine water extraction or do I need a tick dean gully .

What is a 'bottle gully' and a 'tick dean gully' never heard of either term ?

Bottle gully is round tick is lower at the bottom to prevent smell back up pipe as water lays there to form a trap

They both do the same job, Blue. They are both "trapped". That is, they both trap the smell in the same way. Just different shapes, that's all.

Thanks builder wasnt sure if bottle gully was trapped it seems less hassle to connect.
