Fed up ignoring all the International calls I answered one a few minutes ago.

Seems I have a problem with my computer which can be fixed if I pay some money on my plastic card....

Playing daft I pretended to hear computer as cooker....told him of all the problems my COOKER was causing and asked if he could really fix my COOKER problem if I paid....

After much waffling he assured me he could fix my broken cooker...all I had to do was give him the number on my bank card....

I made sure he too was saying....cooker....I told him the oven bit wasn't heating up......and he agreed that would be a problem......

How do you fix it over the phone?....I asked....

Oh no ma'am....he said....We send a man to your house to fix your cooker.... once you have given me your plastic money number....He then read out my address....so the man could come later today.....once I had paid....☺☺☺

Only once have I had a telephone call about a computer problem.

I asked the caller to tell me which Computer was involved because I had six children who had Computers and my wife and I had four (two Lappies and two desktops). He put the phone down when I lied and told him that I worked for Microsoft and could sort out matters. I did thank the 'gentleman' for his call.

Incidentally, my wife and I do Not have any children and our computers involve a single Laptop and a one off desktop.

Hans.
We just don't answer the phone :-)

My daughter strung along an Indian call centre for 22 minutes. Eventually he asked her what sort of computer she had, she told him an Amstrad 1640.

Now he was quite annoyed and asked her if she realised that model didn't have the Internet. She told him she did and he then blamed her for wasting his time.

Hang on, she said, it was you that phoned me and told me I had a problem with my computer....

BANG....receiver went down in India!
Is it the oven with a bun in it that has a problem, gness ... ?
