Wind stopped, no rain, sun shining. Have risked putting up my window birdfeeder. Had to rescue it from downstairs' garden on Tuesday.

Yesterday was strange. It was so dark all day and then suddenly it looked like someone had turned the light on at one end of the street but left the other end turned off.

I don't know where you are,but we are due a full day of heavy rain tomorrow...think the birds will stay in hiding down this way. It was fairly nice today though...still some squally showers though.

East of Leeds. Middle of the afternoon we had a fairly heavy shower that almost turned to sleet, then it stopped (about 4.00 p.m.), and the sun came out. All is now calm, and I have watched a picture-book sunset.
