I've just finished painting my conservatory with a top coat of white gloss, and then within the hour our weather did the "dirty on me"and it started to rain and rain. What am I likely to find when it stops and what can I do to make it good? Thanks.

The new paint will probably be spotted, where some has been washed off, particularly on horizontal surfaces that catch the full force of the raindrops. Vertical surfaces may not be affected. All that you can do is wait until the painted area is dry and paint it again.

Thanks.will I have to do any rubbing down first?
Not unless you're particularly fussy. The new coat of paint should cover up the spottiness that was caused by the rain.

Then, my friend, you are lost. You shall be forever be a slave to the glasspaper and the filler. Fare thee well.

Considering the amount of rain we had and the strength of it I'm quite surprised how well it stood up to it.Just a few touches here and there then on with the 2nd coat. Thanks.
