We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

I am sorry to hear such sad news Neti .Please pass on my condolences .

I'm green with envy Jno. Could you whisper to Dan that I'm a fan ..lol.
Oh that's terrible news neti, so young. I remember Coggles, she was on here when I first joined 10 yrs ago, I think she had a lot of health problems.

Well I've done nowt today and now I've got a headache to add to my problems, so could you all be whispering please. The weather turned dull and heavy again.
I can't remember Coggles (I remember smudge ok), but 49 is dreadfully young.

Shaney, I can ask him if he'll make a secret signal to you on his next programme.

I remember seeing her name on here .I think she used to ask a few Q's in Q&P from time to time .
Must be devastating to lose a child .
You never expect to outlive your children .When I met Mr S his brother had died only a year previously aged 26 .My Ma in law never really got over it and when we cleared all her things after she died it was heartbreaking to see all the things she had kept .

Yes ask him to give me a wave Jno .He seems such a nice man ,so enthusiastic about his subject and very entertaining .
There's a good series starting next week that may interest you .It's Dr Pamela Cox who did the life below stairs programme .This one is about shop girls.

3rd attempt!,,
Good morning all.
adopted sister coming today for a visit, she is Ronnies real sister.
Hooray I have posted.
Morning all...it was glorious at 5.30am, now it's dull.
Gathering some strength and my insides have remained calm, I woke with the headache again but it's eased (finger's crossed) . I did some reading about ibs yesterday and the supplement glutamine has been mentioned quite often. I don't suppose any of you have tried it or I think you might have said? It's something taken by athletic types too, I'll ask Tarquin about it, maybe his OH will know about it.

I saw something about the shop girls programme ages ago and thought it must have been and gone by now, I'm glad I haven't missed it.

Oh, sun's peeping through...

Morning all
The sun's trying to get out .It was drizzling earlier .
Never heard of glutamine Robinia .
I found this on glutamine Robi, amongst other stuff. Much of what is out there is sales pitch disguised as blog, but this seems genuine for what its worth.

no actual solid research though.

Another decentish day here. Nothing huge planned, the only must do is taking the boys out for a drive to keep up Rab's rehab.
Thanks woofy... it was in forums where I started to see it mentioned more and more. It seems to be one of those things that's great for some but there's not a lot of complaints about side effects so it might be worth a go.
the only thing that I see is that some mention restlessness and increased activity with it....that may just mean sorting out the dose timing though.
After the great melatonin miracle with the dogs, i am more inclined to think about alternatives for problems that the main stream cant solve.
Cloudy day at first but really hot now. We went to see younger bro and had coffee and cake. Now resting until we go en mass to buffet chinese then to see 1812 fireworks at 10 tonight.
Help!, was there a Corrie last night (Tues)? I know not normally on a Tues but thought I saw one when switching over tv's in different rooms.
No idea about Corrie Neti.
Big celebrations here, Rab jumped in the car almost immediately today, no coaxing no waiting!!! Mega step forward.

According to the Radio Times Neti ,not last night but it's on tonight at 7.30.
I'ts been a dreary day here ,not a glimmer of sunshine after all and now it's drizzling again .
Well done that woofer .
Well done Rab, I'll have what you're on :).
Sorry you've had a dull day shaney, it turned out glorious here but I just didn't feel like being outside.
What he is on Robi is some glucosamine tablets called Yumove that smell divine, all seaweedy, and a mixed bag of chunks of baked venison sausage, and chopped up venison.
They had cold roast guinea fowl for tea. It was on offer at Waitrose so I thought I'd try one...it looked pretty horrible but I cooked it anyhow. I tried a bit but it tasted like the worst kind of cheap chicken so I sliced it up for the dogs....
Hello everyone. Found you at last. I forgot which emails to look at for our new abode.
First of all. I'm Sorry to hear about Smudge's daughter. I remember Smudge and really feel sorry. So sad.
Pleased about Rab Woofy getting his energy back.
I understand the tired feelings I've been a bit like that this past few weeks. I'm putting it down to the warm weather .
I'm back after a good weekend and a great day with my brother and sisters yesterday. She WLFTD brought me home last night.
Now I'm home and watching a lot of the unmentionable and looking forward to tomorrow (apart from the England match)I'm at last getting my hair cut - it's driving me potty! Trying to get it all one length to the back of my neck but it's way past there and looks 'orrible! Only 1 more day to go.
Anyway, hope you are all battling on like yer do. Have a good night and I'll see y'all later!
Just bsck after chinese inner and hen went to bandstand to watch the fireworks to the 1812 . Jolly nice. Home now and off to bed. Ascot tomorrow and in all truth am notlooking forward to it.
