Would You Be Satisfied With This
I had a pack of sausages that were in date that ballooned up in the fridge yesterday with noticable signs of mould growing in side.
I took them back to the supermarket and had a refund (£2) but I explained to them I could easily have eaten them a few days ago and been very ill. I really wanted some follow up to find out how this happened - would you be satisfied with just a refund or would you even have bothered to take them back.

As he leaned over my dog to stick the pack under my nose, she grabbed the string of sausages and ran behind the settee. "If she eats all of them, then they're not off", i said.
She ate them all๐
I have another pack in the fridge with a use by date if the 20/5 that I can't eat now!
I realise that this has triggered something I saw years ago at robirch(remember them) the way they treated the processed meat - never ate another robirch product haha.
I decided to write to the supermarket and ask for an explanation - so in answer to my own question - I wasnt satisfied.
thanks for your answers
But they weren't mouldy a few days ago so there would have been no probs eating them. I don't understand how a supermarket can investigate what happened to them anyway? Perhaps you could explain what you think they could have done. How could they prove you didn't just leave them out or your fridge is dodgy?
In any case to answer your q I would not have even bothered to take them back unless I was hard up for 2 pound
