At the moment i am reading an interesting book about the battle of Trafalgar. It describes in detail how events were and how the battle unfolded. What event and why would you like to go back in time to witness ?.

I find myself drawn to historical events where I know my family were present, I like to try and understand what they went through. I'd like to see Trafalgar where a relative captained a ship. But equally I'd settle for the execution of Mary Queen on Scots at Fotheringhay or the english in India in the early 1800s.

On the occasion, after Jane Austen's death, when her sister Cassandra prepared to burn lots of Jane's letters - so I could stop her, or nick them beforehand.

No, but I'm a great Austen fan, and I've just finished reading Claire Tomalin's interesting biography of Jane

I've read that, it's very good. Went to visit her house in Chawton a few years back, too.
Would loved to have witnessed V.E.Day in London.
Jourdain, I would love to join you in sleuthing.

Jno, your offering isn’t for me. It falls at the first hurdle.

I'd like to slip back 6000 years and watch God creating the Earth.
I’d like to have been witness to the Khoisan (cave dwellers ) in Southern Africa in the years when they were depicting scenes on the cave walls and taking natural hallucinogenic “magic” potions. Fascinating
