Will this include all those already convicted?

Hope so.
Amber Rudd said that it would be made clear to courts what to take into account when considering deporting EU criminals
Probably not then as it appears to apply to those yet to come to court.
Question Author
Don't know. It's only just been announced.
I don't think you can (or should) impose retrospective punishment so it probably just relates to the future.

Oh I don't know, jno. Criminals from the EU might be delighted to be released from prison and sent packing back to where they came from.
I am amazed - Call-Me-Dave and his cronies were in power for years, and nothing was addressed about these issues, Theresa May has been in the job for five minutes, and already she is sweeping out all the rubbish and getting things going the right way.

I could not in all conscience vote Conservative, but the temptation grows stronger week by week!
Amber Rudd ,speaking on the news at 3pm refers to repeat offenders.

Maybe, Fender, if they are identified as repeat offenders Do they all carry passports? I am not sure London is too bad for beggars- most major cities have them across Europe and America. I can't remember ever seeing the police doing anything in UK.
WOW, that is good news, as long as it's implemented. Might start actually liking the tories at this rate. About time our culture and value were put first.

Go for it, hereIam. You know it makes sense. ;o)

There is more than one way of skinning a cat. Any prisoner from the EU given a choice of a return to their own Country of origin, or to stay incarcerated without access to you man rites levers will be howling to go home. All privileges removed and no more cushy regime.
"Amber Rudd is right to introduce a scheme to help communities address the pressures of migration, as Jeremy Corbyn called for last week.

What a laugh!! Can you imagine what would be the pressures of migration under Corbyn! That would have to be some scheme!!

> or to stay incarcerated without access to you man rites levers

Not sure whether you meant levers or lawyers, togo. I'm pretty sure the option of exempting them from human rights laws that apply in the UK might not be possible, but maybe a legal expert can advise
well, that's probably two-thirds of ABers gone..... Au Revoir....
"Theresa May has been in the job for five minutes, and already she is sweeping out all the rubbish and getting things going the right way. "

Don't get over excited, Andy. Most politicians talk a good talk and it has yet to be shown whether Mrs May and Ms Rudd are any exceptions. The UK's own Human Rights Act is still in force and we are still signatories to the ECHR. Whilst that remains so we can expect challenges to deportations and bans under those articles of legislation. The government (rightly) cannot instruct courts how to interpret and apply the law. They have to change the law if the current regime is unsatisfactory. And there's no signs of that just yet.
I did mean levers ff. You know like the ones you pull on a slot machine hoping for a jackpot pay out. With lawyers feeding you the coins to slot in.
