not sure if that's so - Daimlers were made separately in Britain, as the manufacturer had bought the UK rights from the Germans. I don't know where Churchill's was built but I'd be surprised if he was driving about in a German car

This Daimler was built in Coventry I believe.
The Daimler marque remains in the UK, after being bought by Tata in 2008. There's always been some confusion over Daimler. I think at one time three companies in different countries in Europe were producing cars with that name.
