Remember when you could buy a small plot of land on the moon from places like WHSmiths etc, is it really yours, how do you know where it is and if NASA lands on you 'plot', can you take them to court for tresspassing? :-p
thanks!

LOL.Have they landed on your plot umBongo!!

Total cobblers, It's just another scam, like the one that can sell you a star! Perlease!

trouble is, the moon doesn't belong to anyone, so nobody has the right to sell it. I suppose if you can find a court up there you could try it, though I imagine the lawyers' fees there would be astronomical...

lol, i did'nt think so! i dont own a piece of the moon, or a piece of paper that says i do, nor for that matter, a star!
Thanks for the answer!
UmBongo - i asked you a question in a thread in TV.  Please answer if you get the chance.  Cheers! :-)
glad to hear you haven't lost the plot, UmBongo!  ;-)

oh, sorry, where do i find the question?

who says it is a scam then? by international law no one country may own anything in outer space and therefore the rights to the moon or any other object in outer space is open to anyone that wishes to put a claim to it. This is similar to when it was considered no one owned america and the irish were allowed to go and stake a claim to the land for a fee. Technically it is possible that your plot on the moon is legal as it is a claim by an individual thats recorded and documented to the area stated in the pack. and as it states, no country or government may own any land in outer space however there is no reference to an individual owning it.

I would love to see american astronaughts land on an area that belonged to someone and see how it stands up in court if the person claiming damages etc went through all the legal rulings over it.
