They won't work, your PS2 would have to be " chipped" not really sure what that means though and doing so would invalidate any warranty you have on your console

Yeah it wont work, Uk PS2's run using the PAL format the americans and japanese use somehting different. This means games arent compatable unless your PS2 is chipped. (in having it chipped it voids the warenty and can cause other problems in reading games and saving). Plus all american and japanese games come out on the British PS2.

i wouldve thought that they would work.they will be in ntsc format but as long as your tv supports this(most modern ones do) then you should be fine.

wrong, Mattk, it's not just about the TV supporting NTSC, the console itself will refuse to run the game if it isn't european.

i bought a japanese game(robot warlords) and it worked - and the ps2 is not chipped- ive checked other threads here about this and the general consensus was that they will work

just rechecked all my above info and it is wrong-oops- your right- they wont work is what ive been told elsewhere
