freezer

My fridge freezer has numbers on it for temperature. i.e. 1 to 9 I usually have it on 5,Now I know it might seem I`m stupid but if I put it up to 7 does that make it colder or less cold.It is a few years old!!

We have the same problem in my house.

'er indoors thinks it is like a thermometer meaning 1 would be coldest.

She therefore keeps turning the fridge warmer.

However 1 is the warmest and 9 the coldest, but if I try and explain this she gets in a huff. Women!
