I loaded MSN messenger, but found that I get worms and spyware, with a few pop-ups for good measure, so I decided to uninstall it using the windows 'remove programs' feature but the beggar won't allow itself to be uninstalled. Question : how else can I dump it?? and will it stop anything elese working?? (i'm thinking of my Outlook Express in particular) - Cheers

Rather than dumping it there are various small free programmes available which kill the side-effects of Messenger. Try this one http://www.tucows.com/preview/315611.html

You downloaded MSN Messenger and got worms and spyware? Get a firewall man! There's plenty around and ZoneAlarm is free. But first remove any worms with an anti-virus and the spyware with 'Spybot - Search & Destroy.'

Thanks for the suggestion Coser. But I already have Zone Alarm (Free and paid-up versions) and of course the full Norton System Works.
