which games console is better OVERALL, PS3 or XBOX 360? Overall means gameplay, money, value, graphics etc.

Consoles don't have any gameplay or graphics.
Games do.

If you don't know about the games, then don't buy any console. You would only waste your money.

jesus like biggest question of them all right her is how me and my mates settled it. The nitendo wii has the fun factor with its motion bit (but after a while gets boring) the X-bow 360 ok that bin out like a year and yer its good no major faults but the only real difference is the gaffics are a bit better in games but that depends on the games design but yer. Now the PS3 for value for money even with the MASSIVE price tag for what you get is gd 60 gb memory, music video picture and internet broswer and of course the motion sensitive SIXAXIS controler so i would say the ps3 but tis your choice

The only stand out game for the PS3 is Motorstorm but it most certainly doesn't justify the cost. I've installed Linux on mine but it runs like an asthmatic ant. I thought it was supposed to be the most powerful thing ever. I was hoping that I'd be able to play divx movies but the audio is appalling and the frame rate seriously choppy. Sony have restricted access to the graphics hardware and linux crawls so just what was the point of supporting it?

The Wii is great fun but once you get past the few games that actually make proper use of the wiimote then there isn't much to write home about. In fact some games use the wiimote even when it's not suitable and just make the games far harder than they should be. Super Monkey Ball has me swearing at the TV yet I loved the older Gamecube versions.

The 360 gets my vote and I don't even own one.

Video in linux on the PS3 ran badly using Xine.
It's a great deal better played with VLC.
