Few months ago I planted an avacado stone (just out of curiosity) in a flower pot with standard compost. Much to my surprise it grew and is now approx. 12" high, a slim stem but large leaves. Does anyone know how to feed it and care for it. All I have done so far is to water it every week. At the moment I think it's more luck than judgement that it is surviving. Would hate to lose it now.
Any ideas please

I grew one once. I didn't pinch out the tip shoot, so it grew very tall very quickly! Try and encourage a bushy habit by regularly pinching out the buds to encourage branching. Feed once a week with baby bio or the ready diluted miraclegro in the green bottle to keep the plant healthy. Otherwise enjoy.

But... unless you have a lot of room at home, you might end up passing it on to someone with a large office conference room like I did !
