Sunday: the best day of the week. :-)
We're going to look out for a nice gastropub on the drive back to mine and I'll do the cooking tomorrow (Paella of Salmon, Jumbo Prawn and Red Snapper). I have a couple of bottles of a rather delectable Essenze Pinot Gris from Marlborough, NZ (not to be confused with that Pinot Grungy-o rubbish!!) which is available in Sainsbury's. With its concentrated fruit and buttery, honeyed undertones, it's my contender for Wine of the Week.
So what are you cooking / doing / drinking today?

I'll dig something out of the freezer later. Maybe a lasagne or something.
On the other hand, I'm going out for the papers in a minute. I could easily be tempted to take them into a pub and have lunch there.
I think the last time I ate at home was Thursday lunch time. I'd hate to start getting my kitchen dirty again.

You can't really go wrong with Jus-Rol, as long as you don't handle it too much. Try this for a gorgeous pie filling:
Melt 3tbsps butter in a pan, add 4 tbsps plain flour, chicken stock, 5tbsps each dry white wine and medium sherry, double cream, 1 tbsp fresh parsley, 1 tsp dried thyme. To that, add cooked chicken, finely chopped onions (cooked but not browned), carrots, parsnips and peas, and seasoning. Should go very well with your Beaujolais!
