Hi,
I am a highly sensitive person. That in itself isn't a problem. I am over emotional and cry at the most ridiculous things, even things that aren't sad. I can equally become very hormonal as well, even though I don't menstruate because of the pill that I take. My husband thinks I am a bit strange; this morning I read a poem to him that I felt was quite apt for our current situation (The Road not Taken by Robert Frost, as we are deciding whether to emigrate). It wasn't even sad but I cried when I read the last line! What is wrong with me?

nothing is "wrong" with you - you are just you!
I cried at neighbours the other day
I cry at stupid things. Like when the underdog does well on the X Factor. My family tend to ignore me. I never use to be like this until my Uncle died. I then started feeling emotions I'd never experienced. Just go with the flow...I do. If there's certain story lines in programmes OH squeezes my hand knowing how I might feel..........and

And she's off....!!
It's just who you are... I wouldn't say I'm overly emotional but I'm a neurotic worrier about everything and little things that run off others backs can turn in to a massive deal to me cause I start worrying about all the possible ramifications and outcomes etc... It does make me damn good at my job though (there is ALWAYS a plan B lol) so that's a bonus!
im like that. never used to be, but since the arrival of children Ive really noticed it.
Im so bad that i have even cried when seeing my friends child walk for first time lol
I am awful with my emotions, and it is proving to be a problem at the moment. I wish I knew how to control them.

^ All of the above...........I don't half feel a twit at times...........
mountain, theres nothing wrong with you. like bednonbs has just said 'you are you' ;o)

im similar to be honest. i can be reading something out loud to someone or telling someone something thats touched me, and i can feel my throat toghten up and i start to well up. it can be over the daftest of things!

plus, you probably get a little more sensitive around your period too, which is only natural.

if the poem meant something to you, which it obviously did, especially the last line, then thats nice it moved you...

i did wonder if i was approaching 'that age' beings i seem to be a bit up and down alot lately...
so i asked for blood tests to be done while i was at the docs the other week while getting checked for aneamia, but they came back ok, so noo, it seems im not at that 'funny time' in a womans life! lol... not just yet anyway.
it might be worth having a blood test yourself too sometime, just to see how your hormones are behaving..?

take care mountain :o)
My goodness the only thing I can say is never, ever wath disneys UP.

its one of the best films i've ever seen but I cried like a baby at it! and not many films make me proper cry but that one does every time I watch it!
I feel you need to ask your self if YOU really want to emigrate...
this maybe your problem,
Can I just add....OH doesn't mind sheading tears here and there...
lol i'm not although show me a pic or film with animals being hurt and i'll be on tears, or if i'm really angry
ahh, since i started to compose my reply alot have nipped in with their own experiences, and it seems we are all the same doesnt it lol.

i welled up the other day just when i went to meet my little niece out of pre school the other afternoon, seeing her in her little uniform and her smiling as she came out, pleased to see us, bless her ...

its just little things isnt it that get to us .... and hey, whats wrong with that? :o)

aw thats nice ummmm that your OH gives your hand a little squeeze, without needing to say anything .. :o)
Makes me cry though looby. Then he has to rub my head :-)))))
i have an awful habit of laughing when i shouldn't...
I do that fluff....it's a bit of a nervous reaction.
have you all read Daddy's poem posted last night
it will have you filling buckets.......
oh how nice ummmm, id love to have somebody to squeeze my hand like that.
tut, awwwww and then he rubs your head too?! i bet he plants a little kiss on your forehead too eh?
that little act of kindness would set me off too ummmm lol ... i reckon id be bawling at the end of what started off as just a little squeeze! lol
Bunch of nutters... ;oP
Yes, he does kiss my head as well.

Maybe he's nicer than I thought...lol
