I dont know what to order tonight. I fancy something a bit different to my usual - I usually go for korma, balti, korai or rogan josh.

Im always worried of trying something different, for fear of disappointment!

Any recommendations? My tolerance to spice goes to balti and thats probably it!

Dhansak - you cannot live and die and not try Dhansak.

I also love keema rice and keema nan. The minced lamb gives it that extra dimension.
bhuna
Question Author
whats the dhansak like NoM? is it tomatoey?
Not tomatoey. Check out traditional curry contents here, JB..

Love king prawn butterfly with the mustardy yoghurt sauce for a starter. I tend to go for Mixed Biryani because then you get a bit of everything, and the rice comes with it.
Sorry - no idea why my link didn't appear as such on my first answer.
I really like 'sag paneer'
Dhansak is lentil based, but they break down into the sauce.
South Indian garlic chilli chicken is brilliant, it's not too spicey, probably the same as a balti, just a nice wee nip to it.
I love biryani and lamb and spinach (aloo saag?).

You could always go for more little things, I love indian style lamp chops and indian style salad and rice.
I like the Bhuna, and the prawns in a pancake (I can't remember what it is called.)
Prawn Puri. AYG?

Sag aloo is spinach and potato.

I love Brinjal bhaji (aubergines).
Thats the one NoM, and I agree the Aubergines are lovely,

ooh, not tried the aubergine dish, might try that tonight
I think it's a fried yoghurt bread they put the prawns into. I've had it and it's delicious, but I can never eat 2 courses at the indian.
i love the Biryani's it comeswith rice and curry sauce! its mild but its delish.. hmmmm

i got garlic chilli chicken dish, that was delish too!!
I usually go with my daughter and her family on banquet night, absolutely loads to eat, 2 courses plus side dishes. Good job I don't live nearer to them.
King Prawn Biryani, Saag Aloo Bhuna and a Peshwari Nan.

Burp :-)
Jenna, next time you're getting a takeaway, let me know, I'll go halves!
