no. it's made from cream, oddly enough. which comes from a cow. cream is a natural commodity from cows milk and not "made from" anything else - there may be unscrupulous manufacturers out there who put additives in, otherwise the only thing i know that is added is sweetener.
Maybe Katie means synthetic cream as opposed to fresh cream. What is synthetic cream made from?
Could it possibly be pigs fat?No surely not.
what is synthetic cream? you mean the squirty canned cream? Elmlea contains buttermilk (same as normal cream - google "Elmlea ingredients"). give some examples of synthetic cream and i'll google, but as far as i'm aware the canned squirty cream (if this is what you're on about) is the same - natural cream with some additives/preservatives and sweetener (and air obviously, to make it squirt)
I don't think so but who cares? Fat is fat wherever it comes from.
Not if you're Jewish,Muslim or a Hindu.
Hi darth, I have seen fresh cream buns & synthetic cream buns on the same counter in our local bakers shop. I know 'squirty' cream if fresh (ish), but I wanted to know what the synthetic 'cream' is made from. P.S. I don't really care either Gef, as I'm Church of England & I don't eat them anyway! Honest!
synthetic cream is usually made from hydroginated vegetable fat and glucose syrup. Not good for the cholesterol!
