thx for that funny girl as it happens i popped in at my daughters and was telling her about my question on here ,and she not only had a shaker and measurer but also a little book full of ideas and recipies so i am all ready to hit tesco or asda tomoz to get all of your suggestions and also some from my little book thanks for you help
You've probably already stocked up - but just in case... I keep a supply of ingredients (god I sound like a lush!) in my cupboard that all happily mix with each other - so you can make lots of cocktails with few ingredients. Vodka, gin, cointreau, tequila, fruit juices (lime, lemon, orange, cranberry), and mixers such as lemonade and ginger ale (and champagne or cava, if you fancy!). No matter what combination you mix these in they all taste good! (whereas spirits such as whiskey and brandy can taste revolting if mixed with the wrong combination). Make up your own names - your guests need never know they are improvised! My favourites are Cosmo (cranberry, vodka, lime, cointreau) and margheritas (tequila, cointreau, lemon and lime). Happy partying!
