I know that most vegetarians eat eggs but is there really a difference between eating an egg and eating a chicken? Isn't it just a question of timing?!

No. It's an animal produce. The egg is not itself a proto-animal; it is the food which feeds the seed which grows to become an animal.
Q. Are fish vegetables? A. Only when you remove their brains.

Yes, but the egg contains the seed. Okay, I know only fertilised eggs contain an embryo but how can you tell if an egg is fertilised or not? And even unfertilised eggs contain the real 'egg' within the yolk.
A chicken laying an egg is like a woman ovulating. So when a woman ovulates, is that egg a baby?
Question Author
No, but it is 'meat'.
Yes, it usually takes longer to eat a chicken, and they're harder to catch. It's difficult to dip soldiers into a chicken, and chickens don't crack into the frying pan so easily. Also, scrambled chicken is problematic, and it's hard to make a Spanish omlette with onions, potatoes , and a chicken.
another complication to your dilema - only female hens lay eggs, so the male chicks will be killed, same as the milk industry - male calves are sent to slaughter as they dont produce milk, which is why i have respect for vegans.
yes but the next question is "what came first, the chicken or the pervert?"
