Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cook Cheese on Toast just right? I always seem to end up with burnt corners and edges no matter how I do it. I can even cook only one side only and still happens.

Also I put a nice splash of Worcestorshire Sauce on for great taste.

Make sure your cheese covers the edges and as you said just toast one side Its nice with sliced apple on too.
I find using grated cheese is better than sliced as it starts to melt a little more quickly.. Get the grill nice and hot and as soon as the cheese starts to melt, using a flat knife, smear the melting cheese right to the edges of the toast. That will protect the edges from burning. If you want something extra tasty, smear a little pickle or your favourite chutney on the second side of the bread, before you sprinkle on the cheese. Geeta's spicey mango chutney is particularly delicious if you like an Asian flavour.
I often cheat putting sliced cheese in a bowl in the microwave but be very careful not to burn it.Chopped spring onion or some tomato paste make a nice change too.
nice splash of worcestershire sauce with some grated cheddar mmmmmmm

Going to have to make some now!
sprinkle some paprika on the cheese...amazing colour and flavour!
My seven year old grandson told me how his mum does cheese on toast the easy way..Toast bread in toaster put cheese on in normal way,he said no butter, I 'm not sure why(maybe you could try with butter)Then 30 seconds in the microwave.. Easy as that, have to say it wasn't bad either!!

This is a delicious take on "cheese on toast". Firstly, toast the bread on both sides (in a toaster) - white sliced bread works well with this. Then, put a generous layer of tomato ketchup on the toast, being careful to get it right up to the edges to prevent the edges burning when you grill the cheese.

Now, cover the ketchup with a generous layer of grated strong cheddar (not supermarket soap flavoured factory cheese) and then some dried fine herbs. Under the grill until the cheese is bubbling well and then enjoy!
And you can drizzle olive oil and lay fresh basil leaves before adding the cheese.
