Mr Smow just asked if I fancied cheese on toast - my favourite! He never makes it. He's produced it really quickly and says sheepishly ahh there's a reason for that- I forgot a step.He hasn't toasted the bread!! Just put cheese on two slices of bread and stuck under grill. So I have cheese on...... bread!!

Omg lol
If you want soggy bread follow someone's suggestion to defrost a couple of slices in the microwave first.

Then toast then for very hard toast.
Oh no smow! I often fancy cheese on toast, but can't be bothered with the toasting then grilling, and then someone else will want it too, so you have to do it all over again. At least Mr Smow tried:)
at least he stuck it under the grill and not in the toaster
Ooh yes, that would have been messy. :)

Lol yes it could have been worse - just!
If that ever happens again just ask him to put it in a pan with a bit of butter and fry the bottom until crisp
When I was an apprentice chef many moons ago, one of my afternoon jobs was preparing cheese on toast for the following day. I had to make a roux (flour and butter), then stir in milk untill it was the consistency of creamed butter, then add a good cheddar cheese and keep stirring, add salt and pepper and a small dash of Worcester sauce, the end product was then put in the fridge overnight ready for the morning. I still make it this way, it is delicious!
st peter..feel free to call round any time !!!
