I don't know a good restaurant anywhere in wales.
Haha at pjgriffo. Spot on mate, nice touch!
These get good reviews on the BBC website:

Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel (Coychurch)

La Venta (at the Haywain pub, Coychurch Road)

Golden Well (Brocastle)

Masons Arms Hotel (Bryncethin)

Zia Nina (Dunraven Place)

In case you're thinking that the BBC website only has good reviews, check out some of the reports on other restaurants in the area, here:

(There are quite a few that you won't want to visit!).

Thank you very much buonchico your answer has been most helpfull.
What's wrong with my house then Mischief???
The Great House in Laleston is superb. And The Star in Treos. Both are only about half a mile outside Bridgend and I'd recommend either.

The Star is a pub / restaurant but the food is superb and I go there most weekends. The Great House is more expensive but definitely worth a visit for a special occasion. Enjoy
