HP were subject to a takeover by Heinz recently. Last I heard it was sent to the monopolies and mergers commission for scrutiny.

I hope they don't acquire them as HP beans have been my favourite and they are getting harder to find now due to this.

If you have a Farmfoods freezer shop near you try them. They were selling them 4 cans for a 1 last week!

Have you tried the new Branston beans...there not so hard as the other beans and the sauce is really good...(:)
Didn't know about that takeover Zeddy. Maybe that explains why I have been unable to buy any HP Chilli sauce lately. When it became harder to come by, I think I snaffled the last couple of bottles in our town. It looks as if it has been replaced by something called 'Mexican Chilli Sauce' which is c**p. It's an expensive business trying out alternatives, no luck yet.
