Why are you returning the car and how long have you had it

Question Author

Rh.  Earlier posts should have been read

Was the car broken or do you not like it?

I am not going to try and find a post that tells me what's wrong with the car!

the last I heard you didn't like the hand brake

Question Author

Have talked about it until I'm blue and so more. Just wanted question answered

If you buy an object A a

nd then sell it on, you are usually not entitled to a refund from anyone

BUT I think you mean car tax disc thingey - and they have changed the rules.

Give the green 'new keeper' slip from the log book to the buyer. You must tell DVLA you've sold the vehicle and give them the full name and address of the buyer. If you do not do this, any vehicle tax refund you're owed might be affected.

implies yes.

You won't be entitled to a refund if there was nothing wrong with the car

Same dealer?

then there is a trade in value - which is negotiable

If it's the same dealer then, maybe. If not, was the deposit refundable? You'll (hopefully) have some paperwork or an email which states whether it is or not.

A refund of what, exactly?

I'm assuming (dangerous) that JJ means the deposit.

If it's a deposit, I'm a bit confused as to why it's  being paid in December still.

Would a deposit not normally be paid in full and then the balance paid in installments?

I think she means she's getting the car in December but, as usual, it's all a bit vague.
