Ice Cream

My home made ice cream is frozen solid in its container, I’ve tried using a hot spoon and knife but can’t cut into it - I’d be grateful for any suggestions please

I would leave it out for a little while. In this weather it shouldn’t take long to soften a bit.

Home made ice cream is dreadful for going really hard. (Although just using double cream and a little full fat milk together with a splash of alcohol does seem to help).

Best I can suggest is put into the fridge half an hour before you want to serve it. Alternatively, next time, before it sets hard, scoop it into a tray mold and freeze individual portions.

I would leave it out for a little while. In this weather it shouldn’t take long to soften a bit.
I’d leave it out of the freezer for a while too. I used to make banana ice cream (just whizzed up bananas, nothing else) and that needed I little bit of ‘out of the freezer’ time.
O you have a hacksaw ?

Could try 30s in microwave.
