I think Harry should have stayed away too.

thanks for the formal side of the news Haz, mine was from the Beeb at 6pm and on at this very moment.
So do I, Prudie.
I think there will be relief all round. Rather ill-mannered to go past the 'reply' cut-off date.
She can save face by claiming their son takes priority on his birthday.

I love that expression on 'Jokes' I think it was - the R-Family to be known as 'KC and the Sunshine Band'....
Can’t stop chuckling. :o)
I think it's a good compromise.
I did a Pilate on those two ages ago.
Don’t care. Can we get them a one way ticket to somewhere where there is nobody else, no internet etc.
I wonder if Andrew has a previous engagement for that day?
I guess Harry going on his own is a decent compromise.
Andrew will be there.
I just hope he ain't sitting next to me that's all.
Perhaps he'll stay and enjoy not being told what to do for a while. ;0)
Like all Royal news we only get what they choose to tell the press. In this case I've thought all along just because "we" hadn't been told before the cut off date bears no truth when the press accuse Harry of not confirming whether he will attend or not.
I'm very pleased he is coming, especially as he isn't to be included in the celebrations. I loved everything about the queen from the day she was crowned. Sadly the new king or his wife have any respect from me.
I wonder if he’ll bring a Netflix crew with him?
To confirm I didn't mean I wasn't pleased Harry was not to be included.. rather that he is proving he is generous enough to overlook them pushing him aside.. You show em Harry..
'he is generous enough to overlook them pushing him aside'

Or to look at it another way, it'll be a darn good publicity boost for him and a reminder of his royal connections which many Americans love. And is therefore a sensible commercial move.
To say she isn't coming because it's their sons birthday is a lame excuse and again, not the truth.
He won't know it's his birthday on that day or the week before or after.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she isn't coming but Archie isn't the reason why.
I think its about time we all do what they wanted and give them no publicity at all.
