I notice that the supermarket where we shop have stopped putting dates on fruit packing

Packet of grapes bought were mouldy - we didn't notice it at the time .

Anyone else noticed this at the supermarket where you shop ,or perhaps our experience was not typical ?

If you blindly shove anything into your basket then expect to get some stuff that's not quite as fresh as you would like. If you see any scenes of open markets the shoppers invariably inspect the goods they buy. I do the same in supermarkets.
I did notice that some were using figs instead.
Think Bobbinwales or DTC are the best to answer this one Bazile.
//Use the senses - if it [milk] looks, smells and tastes ok, it is! //

Not sure how that test can be carried out without first buying it.
That's right naomi - I don't see dates being removed from milk at all - the bottles are capped and often sealed as well. I don't think the shops would take kindly to you opening the bottles & sniffing the contents.
Since lock down pt1 I’ve being doing grocery shopping online, so rarely venture back into that scary world.

Interesting reading though.
