I've taken nothing out of the freezer and I am really looking for inspiration. OH didn't want to go out and buy any ingredients as he's busy working out in the garden but I think a trip to the shops is unavoidable.

So ... what's on your menu today? Currently I haven't a clue what's on ours.

Thai green veg curry with jasmine rice. Making it in the ninja :o)

Well, Tigger, now you mention it, I do have some Thai Red Curry paste and some coconut milk. I bet OH would really go for that.

I could send him out for Salmon or Prawns, or even both :-)
Go for it.

Thai green/red curries are in my top 5 foods.

My local Thai restaurant does a fabulous salmon red curry and a soft shell crab in yellow curry. I can feel a date night coming on...
^Yuk^

I'm having egg and chips.
Poussin, some mash, stuffed mushroom and I'll add a green like french beans and/or mangetout.

None of that foreign muck eh, Dusty? ;)

Egg and chips is a favourite of my little one. He's got to go and have some tests done next month so I might make him egg and chips that day to make up for it.
I was planning Tuscan prawns...but just remembered I bought a jar of Thai green chilli paste the other day. Decisions...decisions.

That sounds very civilised, DT. Talking of mash I bought some M&S ultimate truffle mash a couple of months ago for my fussy FIL and it was delicious. I'd definitely buy it again.
Hope he's not poorly LadyCG
it is good and convenient - this one will be homemade.....

I don't think he is, MT, I really don't think there's anything wrong with him. His Teacher thinks he's had absence seizures in the classroom but he was poorly at the time and I think he was simply nodding off (I had to go and collect him as he'd fallen asleep). His Teacher is a bit of a funny one.

We took him to the GP and she did every examination she could that day including testing his urine and blood sugars and everything was jolly well fine. He's having an EMG and an appointment with the Paediatrician just for completeness.
To flaff around as you do just for yourself you must really love cooking, DTC. If I lived alone I doubt I’d cook much at all.
Major failcake here, been to the cemetery with fresh flowers this morning ( it was freezing and blowing a gale)
Got back around half 11 and put the beef joint in the Ninja, look delicious and smaller so,but when OH got the slicer to it it was quite rare inside and neither of us like rare meat , so I’ve dug deep in my chest freezer and found a beef loaf thingy in onion gravy, I’m doing that now, will let you know ;(
* looked delicious and smelled so*
Question Author
Oh I like my beef rare, Bobbi, with lashings of horseradish.

Those flowers were beautiful, btw. x
Oh worth double checking I guess, fingers crossed all will be well xx
I do enjoy it, the mash is probably the most intensive part of the cooking this evening - after that it's just about getting the timings aligned based around the 'boird' - 170C fan for 40 mins - and prep chopping which I'll do when making a mug of tea in 20 to 30 minutes time.
Lola will be well pleased with her Sunday dinner :0/
There’s a lot starting to die off and we’ve had strong wind here this morning , I will say as daft as it sounds, her grave is on a slight hillside surrounded sadly by other young people and that kinda helped thinking she wasn’t alone, I know that sound daft, but it did
