morning, Tuesday already, the days are just whizzing by, i hope that you are well, if not then you have my sympathy, and that your day is a good one. do you have anything planned for today?

I will be off early this morning to my Orthopedic team appointment, to see what can be done about my knee pain. I can't say i am looking forward to it, but needs must.

i have to be ready two hours before my appointment time, as the ambulance is booked with paramedics to help me down the stairs.
so if i disappear suddenly it means they are here.
Morning Emmie. I’ve been thinking about you getting ready for today. I really hope that it all goes well x
Good morning all!
Hope it all go's well for you Emmie.
Take care
Question Author
morning smow, Chip
thank you, i hope you are ok, smow did you get some sleep...
Morning Chip.
No Emmie I didn’t, but I did have a. Interesting phone call from my doctor bout 11am ish yesterday which might explain a few things.to cut long story short, I’m on thyroxine for an underactive thyroid, and last week I had my bloods taken to just randomly check my thyroid levels. They came back yesterday & doctor rang me - they were so low that she thought I’d stopped taking my meds which is why she rang. Would explain tiredness/exhaustion/ sleep problems being off the scale for one thing!! So she’s whacked up my doseage instantly for a start x
*an interesting
Question Author
i hope you get it sorted smow, there is nothing like feeling so low
that you wonder if you can go on, but you are resilient, and now they have upped the meds, perhaps that will see you feeling somewhat better.
Well it would certainly explain a few things lol.
So are you seeing an actual consultant today Emmie? Is it just for an examination or are you having x rays etc?
Question Author
there is a glimmer of light out there, though the forecast isn't that good with a high of 10c and rain throughout the day.
Question Author
i have had X rays and MRI scan already, this is seeing a consultant to see how we go forward.
Ok, right, well just rack your brains now for any possible questions you might have and write them down if you can for when you get there. The knees are such a vital part of the body for movement that any surgery/treatment on them is essential to have all the facts.
Question Author
its all in my head what i want to say, i am hoping that its not surgery, but i confess that it's most likely.
Well you have to just ask yourself will your quality of life definitely be better with surgery? What’s the success rate? How long is recovery etc….. by the sounds of the pain that you describe you are in I feel that it can only make life more tolerable for you x
Question Author
i haven't been out the flat for two months, fearing a fall down the stairs, so this is my first outing, surgery may well be on the cards though i confess i am frightened of it. Recovery in full could be up to six months, which is a long time, though that would include physio to make it more bearable.
Well you can’t carry on like that long term can you x
Hope things go well for you today emmie
Question Author
no i can't go on like this, its time we got it sorted.

morning Puzzled
Question Author
thank you puzzled, how are you this morning?
Morning puzzled. What’s your weather like this morning? x
Question Author
its grey and cold here, back to woolly jumpers, joggers, hope that it breaks and is a nice day...
