Irpin has been retaken but this is not news
( who, who dat den? - - av ABer)
cancelled, as in off the menu

time for - spam, spam, spam and spam!
no that is off: there isnt much demand for it
hmm, that looks nice, and i'd eat it no matter what they called it. Faux outrage wouldn't stop me :)
It's ONE pub, FGS.
As usual, DM making way too much of very little.
And...does it really matter what it's called?

I put it on chatterbank for a giggle. Not in news. Some of you are so serious!!
^ah, but you knew that nobody would "giggle".
"The menu item was just meant as a bit of tongue in cheek. We live in a farming community with amazing women and men farming the land. It's just a bit of fun and a nod to the amazing ladies who work the land here. I didn't think it would cause offence, but in reality, women plough too."

The DM has made a mountain out of a molehill. The ploughman's lunch is hardly cancelled - one pub who did it tongue in cheek, not a government directive or anything
gingejbee, I didn't giggle. I laughed out loud! If the pub did it tongue in cheek, good for them for demonstrating what a load of utter tosh this 'wokery-pokery' is. Potty!
Question Author
I laughed too Naomi. Perhaps I should have posted in jokes. The pub managent obviously has a sense of humour.
Perhaps they'll rename the pub, 'The Ploughman's Inn And So Is His Wife'.
Pathetic.

Not the pub, the Daily Mail thinking this is a story.
^no, what is pathetic is people getting into a tizzy about nothing in particular.
£12.50? thanks for the warning
Mushroom- Yes. Yes they are. What does it matter what a pub calls a meal? With all the crap going on in the world right now, how is this even remotely newsworthy?

*sigh* At least it kept Will Smith off the news for a brief moment.
