morning, Thursday and the days are rolling by, it is almost the end of the working week for some.. I hope you are all well, if not then you have my sympathies. I still haven't heard from the Orthopedic team about my knee problems, but i guess that the backlog has to be dealt with first. It's going to get a little cooler according to the weather man and so one must wrap up warm. Do you have any plans for today, anything exciting?

i have no plans as such, but i do need to start clearing out more clothes for the charity BHF shop who will collect, which is good. So far i have 4 large black sacks of winter gear which will keep someone warm this winter. But the jumpers need to be weeded out and anything that doesn't fit anymore can go.
Hope your knees get a bit of attention soon Em.
As for all your unwanted clothing I reckon you may be able to keep a small town dressed and warm this winter;-).

Just finished the yard maintenance myself, feeling old, tired and sweaty.

30c and humid here today, could be rain approaching.

morning 1ozzy
Question Author
i suspect you are right about the clothing, winter coats mainly at the moment, that no longer fit me. shame as some are barely worn, but they will go to a good home i'm sure.
Question Author
i thought it didn't get that humid? 30c, would like some of that here, as a change from the dreary grey of the usual autumn day.

still you got stuff done and one can always take a shower.
It's good to share, some truly needy people will appreciate what is no longer useful to you.
Well, hopefully needy and not total bludgers.
One never knows, I've seen people walk out of charity shops with bag loads and drive away in expensive cars.
Hmm,
Usually doesn't get humid where I live, a week or two in January maybe.

Humidity other times usually indicates a tad of rain.

I can hear a little pitter patter on my roof.
Question Author
which is what you want isn't it, more rain...

those who buy from charity shops at least are paying money for their items, which go to help places like British Heart Foundation, Oxfam, Shelter. Even if they do own a fancy car, they may not be wealthy any longer or are thrifty...
You're right Emmie, rain is what I crave.
Very true re the thrift shoppers, some of them buy cheap, then on sell at a nice profit, the charity shop gets what it asks for.
Never thought of it that way.
Silly Oz!

no worries mate....
Question Author
have to remember that the clocks go back on Sunday, so have to alter all my clocks and watches. otherwise i might be late on parade, and that wouldn't do.
I'd hazard a guess a charity would need to rotate stock quickly.
Or cut it into workshop rags.
Learn something new everyday;-)
Question Author
i only give them good stuff, those items that simply don't fit. Hopefully the winter coats will be of use to someone.
Did our clock fiddle a month,or nearly, ago.
Question Author
i wish we stayed on summer time saving as the days are somewhat longer. Now it will be dark by 4.30/5pm.
I'm all for summer time clock settings, year round would suit me.
Love the extra daylight in the evenings.
Don't mind watching the sunrise.
Question Author
i love it when it's still light at 9pm, and the mornings are bright. Sadly they determine we must keep changing the clocks which in my place means one in every room,
One clock in the living room, that I ignore.
Microwave clock, oven clock, car clock, I ignore them all..
Mobile phone clock and computor clock, thumbs up from me !!!
Question Author
i change them all, need to know the time is correct, computer and mobile i believe is automatic.
