Not often that I get involved in 'food' threads, let alone start one.
BUT what meals (or strange concoctions) have you ever thrown together with left overs?
Got no cash until the weekend so knocking up meals with bits out of the fridge.
Tonight's tea (Dinner for the pedantic) consists of noodles, chicken, baked beans and tomatoes with a dash of hot pepper sauce.

Not exactly cordon bleu, but hey...its a meal!

Might even make a sandwich of it ;-)
The bread will go soggy!
I'd leave out the baked beans.

Have you any other bits and bobs of veg you can use?

My left overs I tend to make sandwiches for the boys' lunch and I have it with salad
Sounds very tasty to me Nailit
Best meal of the week in the Bobbi household is supper on Sunday nights with a good old fashioned fry up of the left overs from the Sunday lunch

Recently realised that I am some sort of outcast like that.
I dip my sandwiches in my tea.
I often have a rummage round and make a bit 'n bobs meal from whatever is around, from a pasta bake to a chopped salad.

Tonight I am roasting off half a large tin of potatoes (shock horror) that were used in a recipe a few days ago and half a tin of mushy peas with a piece of breaded cod.
I would have beans on toast and have the noodles as a separate meal.
I have tinned potatoes, Mamy, they are good in a curry.
I never have leftovers.
I think Bobbi means Pan hackelty. It's a Geordie thing.

New one on me :-)
Is that just another name for left over sunday lunch though?

Lucky you.
No, Pan Hackelty is corned beef, potatoes and onions Jack
I meant all veg inc potato, left over meat and even Yorkshire's , thrown in the frying pan and tossed around , lovely when the bottom is turning brown
Bread in tea ? That's what they make biscuits for !

Biscuits are far to small for a cup, plus they break off.
A sandwich on the other hand (if cut right) fits perfectly into a standard sized cup/mug. And, if dipped right, stays intact.
A dipped cheese sandwich is one of lifes pleasures...
