I know thay do a good job etc etc and I know what has happened in the States is awful, but do they have to wake folk up at 3am with texts asking for donations..or as just now telephone calls before 7am ? I have now added them to my harassment filter to block texts and calls.. but really ?

you'd think that they'd know where the recipients of such callers are in the world.

Doesn't exactly make folk want to donate does it? :-(

don't they know I am busy on AB at that time ? streuth !
I don't take my phone to bed.
Can you not turn off text alerts on modern phones? If so then do it at night - anything urgent in the family and it will be a phone call.
Can't speak for android phones, but on iPhones you have the option of muting everything, or muting everything except calls/texts from 'favourites' - although a sister who thinks that 7am is OK for texts knocks a bit of a hole in that sometimes ...
Ah, I don't know how they work - rarely have mine turned on and of course have a landline.
