Blackberries !

Just picked about a pound of huge blackberries....it seems to be a good year for them around here.

I am going to make a nice blackberry and apple crumble, with custard of course !

Time was I would have made blackberry jam. My Mums blackberry jam was the best in the world !

I bought a punnet earlier with the plan to make a sauce but I've eaten most of them :-)

Ummm....haven't you got any growing wild near you ? They seem to grow almost everywhere.

Used to be loads when I was a kid but not anymore.

Stick some with half their weight in sugar in a bottle of brandy, shake regularly. Delicious when ready.
