The latter.
The former.
I did buy some sweets in, but I ate them. Not likely to get a knock at the door anyway.
Loads of sweets and fun so far...though I'm going out soon and I'll have lots of sweets left over.....any takers?......☻
Yes, got a little basket full. Only had one so far though, very cute little girl dressed as a cat.

Loads of fireworks going off round here though.

I only answer the door up to a certain time, I don't then as the little ones are likely to have gone home and some of the older ones come out after money. I check before I answer the door though, especially as on my own.

Just had two more, a couple of lovely polite little girls. Sounds like they are doing quite well on the street :)
Just had another little group...girls giggling and mum still shaking.....one of my neighbours has dressed up as a mummy and when his door is knocked he appears from the dark passage at the side of the house...wailing....and flailing his arms about...☻☻☻
The kids look awesome this year.
I'm loving it and they all say thank you.
Where's the harm in giving them a few sweets at the end of the day. I've never had money demanded and I've never been "tricked" because I always join in the fun.
Never been asked for money, Frog...ever....a tub of little sweeties and they're chuffed....perhaps because I join in the fun with my decorations...☻
Me too Gness. I even finished work early to get ready. It's fun.
Well we've got loads of sweets but not one trick or treater yet !. Oh well there sweets that I like aswell.
We live in the middle of nowhere and just see the witches swooping around on their broomsticks.
lol I'm bust chewing on a Drumstick lolly.
I meant busy
Tony...here, and where I lived in Kettering they only knock if you have a lantern...pumpkin...or something hanging on the door.....so they don't disturb people not interested.....xx
At least they have a code then gness that's brill, can see why you enjoy it then at this rate.
Ah right, gness. What do you suggest that I should hang on the door ?.
The former, I always do after opening the door 18 times a couple of years ago and running out - that was stressful. Last year I got 2 knocks, none so far tonight.
Ahh Gness that is perhaps where I have gone wrong. I have big bag of mini choc bars and only had one family who know us well. In the past we have had most of youngsters in the village. Next year I will put something out so they know that they can happily ring the bell. Wonder if the schools are giving out advice which is stopping them.
This is my first hallowe 'en in the new place so I didn't know what to expect. So far I've had no on2e knocking at the door but I can hear fireworks going off. Can't say I'm bovvered.
Still only three so far, all lovely polite girls and thanks from all of them.

Still got loads of treat left...have left the basket over by the door out of reach :)
