The doctor wants/has me on a starvation diet since last night to take some of my precious, beautiful, vintage Bordeaux tomorrow morning.

It's all OTT I feel, my cholestrol having gone up from 4.8 three years ago to 5.2 and the latter was done on a blood sample there and then, so not a true reading. The LDLs had gone from 1.6 to 1.8.

Christ, there are folk out there and I bet on here who would love 5.2/1.8 LDL

What's your level?

I have booked the appointment for 8.15 am tomorrow and here I come for a breakfast afterwards (salmon and scramblies à point probably).

Tilly's got salmon, new spuds and a yet unknown sauce for her repast tonight. What about you - so I can drool over the prospect - and the wine too?

I'm afraid it's just Adam's Ale for me this evening.

I'll kill for the pie, QoM - how's nungate? Tell her to update me at some point when things are less frenetic.

I hopped a Bus into C'bury 1245ish, had lunch down by the River, T-bone, real Chips (naughty but nice) Mushrooms and Toms. so no dinner for me tonight, but will have to try a glass or two of Red I suspect.
Went shopping after, mistake, 2 x trousers, 2 x shirts, expensive 'lunch'.
Think how good you'll feel in the morning DTC, no hangover ;-)
My deepest sympathies DTCwordfan. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow which I suspect will entail me having to go for a fasting bloods some time soon. Don't you just hate it?
Steak with béarnaise sauce, chips and salad. bread and butter pudding after. That wont do my cholesterol any good either.
My cholesterol is 3.9 just looking at my last biochem results.

I'll save you some :)

I will let her fill you in ASAP :)
Feel for you DTC.. I had to do the same a few weeks ago... I was a right 'ol misery..lol.. had an 8.15 docs appointment the next day... and all was well... but boy... doesn't toast & marmite and a good old cuppa tea taste srcumptious after that... good luck.. Mrs C x

Good luck tomorrow DT :-)
I had my tests done last week, results tomorrow. Fingers crossed they're not bad. Hope yours will be too.

I am in a random mode too - something with Chicken Livers, not sure what yet.
Herbed sausages with either creamed spinach,or roast tomatoes.
Find out what your HDL readings are...I've read lately that they are the crucial ones.. Maybe the doc wants to sell you some statins.
Too sunny and hot here, glass of wine. Good luck tomorrow DT and go to bed early!

That's my thoughts too, pasta.....and no *** way.
I have no idea what my levels are, merely that they are surprisingly low when I do get any info. Which sort of contrasts with my BP.

I haven't decided what to eat for dinner yet. Rarely have at this time of day. Might be baked spud and something, or rice & something. Have a lot of tomatoes to use up before they go off.
how long do you have to fast for ?
Dunno what my levels are, DT. Fish and chips with mushy peas from the chippy here.
I;ve just had welsh rarebit with caramelised onion chutney followed by cherry pie & double cream
Usually over night isn't it anne.
Got any of that cherry pie going spare, mrs overeat ?.
