In about an hour, or an hour and a half, I will think of this man:

Man Says '*** It,' Eats Lunch At 10:58 A.M.

What is it that you crave at elevenses?

Do you deny yourself, or just head out to the nearest snackery?

I always want something like a pastrami sandwich with a Dutch cheese of some sort, and maybe some piccalilli.

I really wish I could have lunch at 11am. I don't mind what it is pitta, sushi, soup, Marmite on toast. But I don't see the point in waiting out till 1pm everyday when I'm hungry at 11!
I can't get that link to work. I don't bother with breakfast before work, coffee usually works, so i have cereal usually about 11. I don't know how people can eat just after they wake up.

Me neither pixie.
Is that language really appropriate for AnswerBank Ed?
That sort of language is not appropriate at any time.

Ed, your standards are slipping.

Now, if I was to report it, that would be a laugh as it wouldn't be removed.
and would you expect us to chat on a Food and Drink thread?
Hmmmmm

I've just had my porridge.

How come the title of that got through your own swear filter, Ed? Hmmmm.....
wonder what his company think of his attitude, most i know wouldn't put up with it, not so much the language but doing as he pleases, if he is not in work that day then it's his own time.
i usually have a cup of tea and biccies at 11 am, if i have made sarnies, i'll have one of those, but i usually have a salad or soup, which is a bit trickier to eat whilst on the keyboard
Question Author
I've "fixed the language".
That's more like it, Ed - consistency :-)

I could graze at any time, more likely in the morning than in the afternoon. I'm making sure I eat something for breakfast, even if it's only a banana and an Actimel yoghurt drink. These days I don't keep food at work as I don't have a permanent desk, so if I wanted a stash I'd have to lug it about with me.
Question Author
I could do with that sandwich now.

My usual tactic is delaying my breakfast banana until now, but it wasn't possible today.

The problem with just having a cup of tea and a biscuit is it never ends at once biscuit for me. Biscuits have the problem of 1 packet = 1 portion - and as such they're banned from being anywhere near me.
i am about to have a sausage sarnie....
We're still eating Christmas cake for elevenses :o(
Question Author
I'm hiding from sugar as well currently Mazie.

Mccfluff, you're a tease.
I'm not hiding from sugar Ed I'm just fed up of Christmas cake....Everyone I speak to at the moment is avoiding sugar, I really don't understand it.
i know and it was much lusciousness. local pork and chive sausages from pigs gambolling in the fields down the road on spelt & rye bread with a smidge of mustard and tomato - murph wasnt left out she had a fishy treat too

i think i might raid the biscuit tin now, im not avoiding anything (apart from mushrooms)
Mmmmmm Just hot a hot pulled pork baguette, now for that Crunchie :o)

"Everyone I speak to at the moment is avoiding sugar, I really don't understand it."

It's on trend.

I also find it easier to drop weight if I just cut something out completely.

Why isn't there a religion which worships the pig for all it's tasty uses?
Turkey and stuffing barm, wasn't up at 10.58.
