It's crystallised in the jar, is there anything I can do to uncrystallise it?

Thanks :)

Zap it in the microwave - as long as it's a jar rather than a tin! Same applies to crystallised honey.
Dunno. Have you tried heating it ?
Don't think I'd care.
I know that when honey crystallises, you can heat it up in the microwave or in a pan of hot water. (Obviously don't try it with the squeezy plastic bottles!)

I would imagine that syrup is the same?

Thanks, I'll do the microwave, how long?
I'd bung it in for 20 seconds or so and check it. You can always stick it on for another zap.

Thanks all :)
Of course, you could just eat it quicker...

Then there'd be none left for my gingersnaps ;)
I use it to make smartie cookies so I get the squeezy bottles. Never had a problem with it crystallising.
Are you ginger this week Rocky?
Question Author
Sadly no, Dave. I might go for it next week though, the grey needs covering :)

Sp, I've never had a problem before when I bought the tins rather than jars, honey in the squeezy thing crystallises in this house so I might have to change the cupboards round.
If done in a microwave....use low power for longer. Don't forget that it's only sugar and doesn't respond well to high power microwaving.
