I have absolutely no sense of smell. Zero. Haven't had for a couple of years, and doctors are baffled. But there are so many things that I really really miss the smell of.......I can't smell anything I cook or eat, can't smell anything in my garden.....(

But certain things I miss more than others.

Freshly mown grass
Fresh bread
Flowers

What would you really miss the smell of?

P.S. Mr Smow says that I should be grateful that I can't smell teen smow's trainers!!

Lol at the trainers. Apparently my youngest son has stinky feet but I can't smell them.

What is your sense of taste like?
I love the smell of pub cellars :-)

And TCP reminds me of my nan.

My sense of taste has altered. Spicy things taste way hotter and spicier than they really are. Its all very frustrating. Grrrrr!
Freshly laundered clothes.
Bacon cooking.
Fresh fruit, strawberries, freshly peeled orange, and fresh baked bread.
Smowball thats awful that you can't smell anything. Did you have a trauma or bad infection? For me the smell of rain on fresh cut grass reminds me of childhood holidays in the Lake District, and germolene takes me back to when I was about 7 -I was a tomboy and went through tubes of it lol!
Strange. Sqad might have an opinion on that.

When I gave up smoking I hated my sense of smell.

I do miss the smell of Nonna's sugo cooking :( You could smell it down the street! lol

I would miss the smell of vanilla, cinnamon, bread, fig and cassis scented candles, bacon (why are mine all food related??)
hello smowball

when i lived in malta for three years as a child 40 years ago, i used to love eating the native bread, it is called Ħobż (pronounced hobbs)

the aroma of it was sheer delight, and i can smell it now whilst talking about it
That is really bizarre, Smow.

I love the smell of natural, raw coconut oil. I use it in cooking, and as a moisturiser. It reminds me of my Nan - who used to put it on her SKIN in the sun! :-/

I also love the smell of grass, newborn babies and polish.

Something I wouldn't miss is the smell of Jeyes fluid - which I currently have stuck up my nose. Oh, and wet dogs.

Oooh and I swear snow has a smell! (not you Smow!) Everyone thinks I am bonkers.....which is true, but I promise you, I can smell snow! lol

Particularly when "dabbed" cheekily on the skin of the inner thigh.

i sprayed DeepHeat on my back the other day, hubby opens front door and said "Jesus Christ, whats that smell??" I was covered in the stuff and couldnt smell a thing!!
my OH has no sense of smell after dismounting a horse head-first (and waking up in hospital a week later). I think all you really need it for is gas leaks. If I had to lose one sense, that'd be it.
My uncle also has no sense of smell or taste after falling 30ft from some scaffolding. He still won't eat brussel sprouts though!!
actually, I suppose smell is better than sight or taste at detecting when meat is off. So perhaps I will amend that and say I don't mind if taste is the first to go.

Not that it matters, as it is sight and hearing that are going.

Oooh Sqad, saucy! ( That looks like a very lovely perfume though)
ummmm

\\\\\My uncle also has no sense of smell or taste after falling 30ft from some scaffolding\\\

That was secondary to a fractured skull........his sense of smell will never return.
