anyway, I am more interested to hear what she has planned for the kid.....it's a lovely meat when slowly cooked.
No worries, I just think threads outside of Chatterbank should stay on-topic.

P.S a Video of a goat yelling like a man is perfectly on-topic :P

It's lovely, isn't it.
I'll be honest, I've only ever eaten it in curried goat before, but it was absolutely gorgeous.

The one time I had goat, curried as it happens, was from a side table at he Notting Hill Carnival. Ended up with minor food poisoning.
Me too!

In Jamaica they season goat with weed. Bet you felt happy after eating that goat. x :)
here's a Persian one for consideration.....

use real beef stock than some canned crap and the orange blossom water is optional, it works well with just the yoghurt.
Me too I've had it in Jamaica, not got food poisioning from it.... :)

Actually, I also had it last year at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. Was just as lush there.

Loved all your replies. The goat came from a friend of my daughters and she (my daughter) was quite upset because she used to help feed them. As to cooking it.I've frozen it until my husband comes home and he wants to make a goat curry. He's been looking at recipes for ages. Only 6 weeks to wait.
