Does Ainsley sing and dance?
I've got a very old one which someone gave me. I use it to make pastry with as well as bread. Does it quite well too. You just have to stop it at the right place. I like it.
We have a Panasonic which is very good. However I still prefer making bread by hand.
yup
Which? magazine recently did a review of breadmakers. I'm not sure I still have that copy but maybe someone on here has an online account and provide details of their results.

I do have sneaky suspicion that Panasonic came out top.....again.
^ lol Chuck

Mine's quite an old Morphy Richards Fastbake. I use it for no end of stuff and have been very pleased with it.
I also have a Morphy Richards one, it makes a two pound loaf and you can bake cakes in it, I use mine every other day.

continually comes out best in tests, this is the latest version
I'd like a breadmaker but it will mean I eat more bread.

Mrs Owd has ordered a kenwoodbm450

Good thinking tilly.
I've got one - never had much success with it though. It sits in a cupboard doing nothing now.

Sounds like Mrs Owd Naomi
We've got the same one as Mrs Owd's getting. I love it and the bread is gorgeous. My only complaint is that the cooked bread can be difficult to lift out of the machine because the mixing paddle thingy can get stuck in it. It just means you end up with a hole in the bottom of the loaf where you've yanked it out. But the bread still tastes good, and that's the main thing.
Owdhamer, says a lot for my cooking skills when I can't even turn something reasonable out of a proper machine! :o)
